The Newton Rams’ defeated Jenkins-Savannah 46-38 in a second-round matchup Wednesday night. The game started out great for Jenkins as they grabbed a 5-0 lead at the outset behind an early three-point play by Anthony Lanier. The 6-8 center finished the night with 10 points. Newton would finally get on the board behind Willie Smith, who was huge for the Rams in the contest. The offense of the Rams would get on track finding holes in the 2-3 Zone of Warriors, and eventually took control of the game ending the first quarter with a 14-9 lead. Read more >
