On the hardwood, he won a state championship with the Wheeler Wildcats this past season after an impressive sophomore campaign. In the state championship victory over Newton, he finished with a team-high 19 points. Savage battled through some injuries this season but was a big part of the playoff run for the Wildcats and helped them clinch their fourth state championship in the past six seasons He’s been cooking in AAU basketball with his elite shot making ability. He was special in the Tip Off Classic which is one of the top events in the spring for AAU players. Savage hit a game winner with an elite step back move to seal the victory for his team. During the final stretch of the game, Savage scored eight points including the game-winning three point basket. He was named a standout by Trent Markwith for his performance in the Tip Off Classic.

He is very underrated on the defensive side of the ball but takes pride in the defensive end and guarding 94 feet and making his presence felt. In the following interview, he goes into more detail about this past weekend, noting players he likes to watch and model his game after per VersaceBoyTakeoff.

In terms of his ranking, Savage is a 4-star on both On3 and 247Sports. His highest ranking is on 247Sports where he is ranked as the No. 5 player in Georgia, the No. 10 PG, and the No. 46 player nationally. Savage has continued to add layers to his game and is already turning heads early on the AAU circuit. He has always been known for his scoring prowess but his playmaking and defense continues to elevate him into a can’t miss prospect. Alabama took notice and extended the offer to the standout guard. Expect for more elite college programs to come calling for Savage as his recruitment begins to heat up.
