Best Performances From Week 4 In Georgia High School Football

Another great week of high school football is in the books and there were a lot of great performances from across the Peach state. State champion contenders Buford and Douglas County picked up top 10 wins and Toombs County pulled off the biggest upset of the week. Here are the top performances from Week 4.

1. Valdosta QB Todd Robinson- Robinson is a Mr. Georgia Football nominee heading into the season and he continues to put together strong performances. On Friday night against Jesuit (FL), Robinson was 19-of-25 passing for 158 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns. So far through four games this season, Robinson has thrown for 730 yards and eight touchdowns at a 72% completion rate. He has also rushed for 214 yards and six touchdowns for the Wildcats leading them to a 4-0 record.

2. Douglas County RB Zamarcus Lindley- Lindley was a player that was highlighted in our Underrated and Overlooked segment last week and he continues to be a staple on the Douglas County offense that is proving they can win in multiple ways. On Friday, Lindley rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries. His two-yard rushing touchdown was the final score of the game and broke a 14-14 tie with 8:50 left in the fourth quarter. Lindley has rushed for 510 yards and six touchdowns this season and is having a breakout junior season for the Tigers.

3. North Oconee QB Harrison Faulkner - Another impressive performance from Faulkner for North Oconee. He was 18-25 for 301 yards and four touchdowns in a 36-13 win against Clarke Central. Faulkner caught my eye at the Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Classic Invitational at Georgia Tech this summer with his accuracy and ability to read the field. He has continued to build from that point and is establishing himself as one of the best passers in the state in the 2026 class. Faulkner officially got the starting role for the Titans this season and the junior hasn’t disappointed. He has led North Oconee to a 3-0 record and a No.1 team in the Score Atlanta poll.

4. Jefferson WR Rhett Hemphill - What couldn’t Rhett Hemphill do on Friday night? He was all over the field and after the Jefferson Dragons trailed 14-10 at half, he was a big reason why they were able to come back and defeat Stephens County. Hemphill scored three touchdowns, two rushing and three receiving and had 130 yards from scrimmage. One of his memorable plays came on a 68-yard touchdown catch where he outran the defense for the touchdown. He also was a key factor on defense finishing with eight tackles, a sack, an interception, and a fumble recovery. You won’t see many more complete performances than what you saw from Hemphill on Friday night.

5. Burke County ATH Qua Morris- The true freshman had a career night against Warren County. Morris finished with seven solo tackles, five assists and a tackle for a safety. Coming into the game, he only had two tackles on the season and a pass deflection. Friday night was a different story as he was flying around to the ball and showed a consistent effort for the Bears. Morris could see more snaps going forward after his performance against Warren County.

6. Ringgold WR Kishaun Taylor- Despite the 23-20 defeat against Rockmart, Taylor had a big game for the Tigers. He caught a 31-yard touchdown pass on the first play of the fourth quarter to tie the game up. He also had a 70-yard touchdown reception that came from running back Zac Grower earlier in the game. Taylor finished with four catches for 138 yards and three touchdowns for Ringgold. He was also key on special teams finishing with 75 punt return yards. Despite the loss, Taylor did all he could to keep his team in it and they nearly pulled out the victory.

7. Savannah Christian RB Zo Smalls- Smalls rushed for a season-high 214 yards and a season-high four touchdowns in a win against Oceanside Collegiate Academy (SC) on Friday night. Smalls has rushed for two touchdowns in every game this season and over 100 yards in three of the four games played in 2024. Smalls has been a key factor on offense for Savannah Christian and is having a great senior year. Smalls is already approaching a 1,000-yard season for the Raiders. He has rushed for 613 yards and 11 touchdowns this season. The Raiders are the No. 1 team in the Class A-3A Private Score Atlanta Poll and Smalls is averaging 6.3 yards per carry. He has been a go-to player for Savannah Christian.

8. Warner Robins Safety Rasean Dinkins- In a game that featured 98 points against rival Houston County, points were needed on every possession. Dinkins provided that with a kickoff return for a touchdown and also a touchdown catch. The Georgia Tech commit has been a playmaker on both sides of the ball for Warner Robins this season and continues to show up in big games.

9. Stephens County LB Garrett Addison- Addison had a big game against Jefferson and finished with his second double-digit tackle game this season. The other came against Elbert County where he registered 12 tackles. On Friday night, he finished with 11 tackles, a tackle for loss, a fumble recovery and a QB hurry. The senior LB is the second-leading tackler on the team with 35 for the season. He also had four QB hurries, two fumble recoveries, and a pass deflection in 2024.

10. North Cobb Christian LB Spears Martin- Martin was the leading tackler for the Eagles on Friday night finishing with nine tackles, including six solo. He also had a tackle for a loss and a quarterback hurry. He is the second-leading tackler on the team this season with 20, just one tackle behind Beedjy Guerrier. Martin also has five tackles for loss, two quarterback hurries, and a sack. North Cobb Christian are off to their second 4-0 start in the past three seasons under head coach Matt Jones.
