Blessed Trinity was forced to cancel Friday’s contest and could enter a 14-day quarantine period after the Titans reported a positive COVID-19 case within the program.

The three-time defending 4A state champions moved up to Class 5A this season and were scheduled to travel to Forsyth Central to open the season at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Assuming the 14-day quarantine would start today, the Titans could return to the field as early as Sept. 25 – including the 5-day acclimation period required by the GHSA for teams coming out of quarantine. That would mean that the Titans would have to cancel or reschedule games at Marist next week and at home against St. Pius X on Sept. 18.

Blessed Trinity is scheduled to play Eagle’s Landing Christian on Oct. 2.
