Boise State’s Hidden Georgia Gem

Carver-Atlanta has a superstar in Terrious Favors. He’s a rangy athlete with the ability to play both wide receiver and defensive back at the next level. His position is such a question mark that Rivals lists him as a cornerback, On3 as a wide receiver, and 247Sports as an athlete.

Favors dominated last week’s Brent Key/Corky Kell Dave Hunter 7-on-7, helping Carver to another strong showing at the event. He played both sides of the ball, being a dynamic wide receiver on offense and a shutdown DB on defense.

Favors is coming off a season where he posted 843 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. Defensively, he recorded 29 tackles, seven pass deflections, and six interceptions, earning first-team All-State honors. This coming season, he hopes to have an even bigger impact, aiming to break the 1,000-yard mark and become even more dominant on the defensive side.

Favors has been committed to Boise State since November of last year. Since then, however, he has picked up offers from Georgia, Louisville, and Georgia Tech. While many expect him to eventually flip his commitment, that possibility appears to be growing more unlikely as time continues to pass and signing day gets closer and closer.

When it comes to Group of Five programs, Boise State has been at the top of the heap for nearly 30 years. Playing on the famous blue turf, the Broncos have won 16 conference titles since moving up to the FBS level in 1996, that’s more than one championship every other year. They’re also coming off a College Football Playoff berth in the 2024–25 season, becoming only the second non-Power Five team to make the playoff, outside of Notre Dame, and the first to earn a first-round bye
