The 2015 MLB season for the Atlanta Braves starts tomorrow at 4:10 P.M. in Miami, but after a shocking turn of events this Sunday afternoon the Braves will enter the season without Craig Kimbrel and Melvin Upton. The pair of players were shipped to the San Diego Padres for two top prospects, the 41st pick in this year’s draft and the package of Carlos Quentin and Cameron Maybin. Kimbrel, the flame-throwing closer, led the MLB the past four seasons with 185 saves, 48 more than Jonathan Papelbon’s second most in the same span. With the trade, the Braves shed Upton’s massive contract of over $14 million dollars a year.
