Camron McGee announces college commitment

Grayson is definitely not short on talent. The defending 6A State champions have division one players from top-to-bottom. One of those guys is 2026 defensive lineman Cameron McGee.

McGee is 6-4, 315 pounds, and is an absolute unit on the defensive line

McGee recently announced a top six of Arkansas, Michigan, SMU, UGA, South Carolina, and Purdue.

He originally set a commitment date of June 11th, but ended up announcing it a few days later on June 15th.

McGee announced via his social media that he was committing to Arkansas.

“Everything about it (Arkansas) with the people, the coaches, the players, the area. It is the best fit for me,” McGee told Score Atlanta’s Wesley Powell.

McGee also cited two coaches that made an impact on him in head coach Sam Pittman and defensive line coach Deke Adams.

McGee has taken a to of visits over the past few months. This past weekend, McGee visited Purdue.

He was also the only junior to compete in the Georgia Elite Classic’s senior game. He still made an impact despite being the youngest on the field.

Grayson has a loaded 2026 class that will likely be one of the most accomplished in Georgia history when it is all said an done.

Collins Hill will provide a tough test for Grayson in week one of the 2025 season. The Eagles were the only team to beat Grayson en route to their state championship.
