Dorian Barney announced Tuesday that he will make his decision of where to play college football on July 5. His final four schools are Georgia Tech, Penn State, Michigan, and Texas A&M.
Barney will visit Georgia Tech Friday and then will visit Texas A&M on June 6 before heading to Michigan on June 20.
In his junior season, Barney recorded 39 tackles, five pass breakups, five interceptions, and one pick-six as Carrollton went 14-1 and lost to Grayson in the Class 6A state championship game 38-24.
He is very good at shutting down short pass plays and he gets a lot of interceptions especially in zone coverage when a short pass is thrown. Barney also does well in the majority of one-on-one matchups he is involved in, allowing small separation between him and the receiver he is guarding.
