Daily Dive: What players received college offers after the 12th annual Georgia Elite Classic?

Every season, the All-Star games which take place at the Georgia Elite Classic attract a multitude of attention from college scouts from all over the country looking for their next impact player.

This year’s event featured more of the same with players receiving plenty of exposure, giving scouts and teams one final in-game look as the 2024 season came to a close at McEachern in the days following the Christmas holiday.

After this season’s Georgia Elite Classic, 19 players received offers to continue playing football at the next level, including offers from seven different DI programs.

Cambridge wideout Craig Daindridge continued his excellent season he had with the Bears at the Georgia Elite Classic this season. The junior impressed spectators and scouts, as he has done all season. Daindridge averaged just about 120 yards per game during the 12 games he played in for Cambridge, amassing 1,443 yards and 14 touchdowns during his junior campaign.

During the Georgia Elite Classic, Daindridge had four catches for 113 yards and three touchdowns including scoring plays from 11, 51 and 26 yards out. Though the Junior Blue Team lost by a single point to the Junior Gold Team 42-41, Daindridge was one of the many rising stars at the event who continued to turn heads. The junior receiver received offers from the University of Arkansas, Georgia Tech and the University of Delaware.

Sequoyah junior Will Rajecki added to his offer sheet during the Georgia Elite Classic as the running back totaled 60 scrimmage yards during the event. Rajecki already holds an offer from Georgia Southern and received his first Power 4 offer over the event from the Kansas State Wildcats. Rajecki ran for 23 yards and caught a 37-yard pass in the Junior All-Star Game.

Paulding County offensive linemen Tyreek Jemison was another junior prospect at the Georgia Elite Classic that received FBS offers after the event. Jemison, a 6-foot-5, 315-pound offensive tackle received offers from the Colorado State Rams and Kennesaw State. Adding Colorado State and Kennesaw State to the mix, Jemison now holds offers from Austin Peay, Charlotte, FAU, Memphis, North Alabama, Troy, USF, and UT Martin.

While most of the offers that were given out went to juniors and seniors, one particular sophomore managed to impress enough to earn a DI offer, as it certainly won’t be the last one he receives. Athens Academy wideout Keyon Standifer stood out in this year’s Georgia Elite Classic and scored four touchdowns on four catches, totaled 130 receiving yards and earned an offer from Georgia State. He had impeccable play during the Freshman/Sophomore All-Star Game in which the sophomores won 70-7, overpowering the freshmen. The Freshmen Team had no answer to guard Standifer as he scored a touchdown in the first quarter, two in the second and another in the third quarter leading the sophomores to a record-setting victory in the 12th Georgia Elite Classic.

With some of the most-talented players from the Georgia Elite Classic making a name for themselves at the next level, the crop of talent from the 12th annual edition of the event is should be no exception and could easily populate rosters playing on Saturday’s and Sunday’s.
