How the game was won: Grant Walker gave Cedar Grove a 7-0 lead with a 16-yard touchdown run. Dennis Bell hauled in an interception and returned it 26 yards for a touchdown to push the lead to 14-0 entering what turned out to be a scoreless second quarter. Quarterback Jelani Woods found Jadon Haselwood on a 13-yard touchdown pass with nine minutes left in the third quarter, and added a 74-yard touchdown to the 6-foot-4 sophomore minutes later to make it 28-0.

Top performers: Jelani Woods threw two touchdown passes to Jadon Haselwood in the third quarter.

Redan 19, McNair 8

How the game was won: McNair scored a touchdown with a two-point conversion in the fourth quarter to pull within five points, but Redan went on a 75-yard touchdown drive on the next possession with a 12-yard TD run from quarterback Xavier Dennis to seal the win at Adams Stadium.
Top performers: Dennis had a 65-yard touchdown pass to Cori Pritchett in the first half. Pritchett also threw a long touchdown to DeAundre Tolen on a halfback pass and had an interception and fumble recovery on defense. Joseph Monson and Jachob Collins also had fumble recoveries for the Raiders, and James Denson had two sacks.
