Fredi hangs up on 680 the Fan host after critical line of questioning

Score Atlanta received this audio track today and we are wondering how the media in town didn’t pick up on Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez hanging up on 680 The Fan’s Chuck Oliver last week. For some reason, despite The Fan being the flagship station of the Braves and the team being in first place with what has been the best pitching in all of MLB, Oliver decided to criticize Gonzalez’s handling of the bullpen in three-plus seasons of being the team’s skipper … Gonzalez obviously wasn’t very happy and hung up the phone, which you can hear on the recording below … Oliver’s partner, Matt Chernoff, tried to change the subject, but he was too late … This is not the first time Oliver has taken an ill-timed shot at one of their partners … The Fan calls itself the sports talk station of the Georgia Bulldogs, but after the SEC Championship game two years ago, Oliver took a shot at head coach Mark Richt, wondering why the coach and QB (Aaron Murray) specifically couldn’t win a big game, losing that day in a heartbreaker to Alabama … the surprise last week was that no one picked up on the hang up or perhaps no one was listening … Anyway, listen and you decide what happened here …
