St. Peter’s Prep, NJ 41, Blessed Trinity 28

How the Game was won: Blessed Trinity fell behind 27-7 at the half and trailed 41-7 entering the fourth quarter before finishing the game with 21 unanswered points to pad the margin of defeat. St. Peter’s Prep opened American Football Showcase at Donnybrook Stadium in Dublin, Ireland with a Jorge Portorreal 48-yard touchdown run and the LeHigh-commit added two more touchdowns to build the 20-point halftime advantage.

Top Performers: Jorge Portorreal led St. Peter’s Prep offensively with a 48-yard touchdown run and a 27-yard touchdown reception from Johnathan Lewis. Portorreal also returned an interception for a touchdown at the end of the second quarter.

Creekside 47, Southwest DeKalb 14

How the game was won: Down 20-14, Southwest DeKalb fumbled inside the five-yard line in the closing seconds of the first half with a chance to take the lead. Instead, the Seminoles went into the half with the lead and poured on a 27-0 scoring advantage in the third quarter.

Top Performers: Justin Tomlin threw touchdown passes to Jonathan Green and Calvin Scott to lead Southwest DeKalb. Creekside got its scoring from two Kahlil McLain touchdown runs and a McClain touchdown pass to Drayton Barnard in the second quarter. Rico Frye rushed for two Creekside touchdowns and Gino Appleberry added a 30-yard touchdown run to open the second half scoring outburst. Lewis Parker scored the final points with an interception return for a touchdown with 33 seconds left in the third quarter.

Lovett 34, B.E.S.T. Academy 6

How the game was won: Lovett held a 25-0 halftime lead and held B.E.S.T. Academy scoreless until halfway through the fourth quarter. Lovett outgained B.E.S.T. 329-101.

 Top performers: Lovett quarterback Brady Tindall scored on runs two yards five yards and threw scoring passes of 37 yards to Peyton Ringer and 25 yards to Adam Achecar. Tindall finished with 132 yards passing and 49 yards rushing. Dillon Light led the Lions in rushing with 66 yards on 12 carries. Lovett started the scoring with a safety, and JT Carr rushed for a two-point conversion. Jack McGowan hit a 39-yard field goal for Lovett.
