GAC becomes third Class AA No. 1 in as many weeks

GAC took over at No. 1 in Class AA as the previous two top-ranked squads in the classification fell once they reached the top. Lovett fell to No. 4 after losing to Westminster.

In Class AAAAAA, there was an moments shift as Mill Creek climbed to No. 2 after a dominant victory over West Forsyth and two major losses to top 10 teams. Hughes entered the poll at No. 6 after two weeks of impressive wins while North Gwinnett was upset by North Cobb and Archer lost to Peachtree Ridge. McEachern tumbled in light of North Gwinnett’s loss and the season-ending injury to Taj Griffin.

Flowery Branch and Carver-Columbus entered the Class AAAAA rankings and Cairo appeared at No. 10 in Class AAAA. Westminster debuted at No. 6 in Class AAA after beating Lovett, the No. 1 team in AA.
