In Class AAAAAAAA, Norcross comes in at No. 6 after suffering a massive 61-33 loss to Class AAAAAA No. 2 Forest Park. Johnson-Savannah is the team to beat in Class AAA with local rival Beach holding the No. 2 spot. Johnson is the defending state champion following its 62-50 victory over No. 6 Greater Atlanta Christian in the state playoffs last year. Peach County is in the mix at third for now with Hart County and Dawson County making up the top-5.
Swainsboro is holding off Dodge County for the top-spot in Class AA. Laney, the defending state champions, are third ahead of No. 4 Rabun County and state runner-up No. 5 Josey.
In Class A-Private, defending champion Wesleyan is at the top. Paideia, Eagle’s Landing Christian at St. Francis follow in second, third and fourth, respectively. State runner-up Holy Innocents’ is fifth this week. In Class A-Public, Telfair County is at the top with Marion County chasing. Wheeler County is third ahead of fourth-ranked Georgia Military and fifth-ranked Calhoun County
