Grayson head football coach is leaving for Clemson

Grayson head football coach Mickey Conn, who has turned the Gwinnett County high school into a football powerhouse, is leaving the school for Clemson, a source confirmed to Score Atlanta early Thursday morning.

Conn was unavailable for comment and has been the coach at Grayson since 2000, going 137-48 and winning a state championship in 2011. He has a strong connection with Clemson head Dabo Swinney. The two were walk-ons and roommates together at Alabama. Also, Grayson junior quarterback Chase Brice has committed to Clemson. Conn was offered the Quality Control position.
