Greater Atlanta Christian 69, East Hall 12

How the game was won: Greater Atlanta Christian scored 27 points in the first quarter and 55 in the opening half to pick up an easy road win at East Hall. The Spartans dominated in all three phases of the game, as their performance included nine offensive touchdowns, three interceptions, a kick return for a score and a blocked punt.

Top performers: Kyler McMichael rushed for two touchdowns, giving Greater Atlanta Christian a 14-0 lead, and he also returned a kickoff 70 yards to the endzone in the second quarter. Davis Mills threw scoring strikes to three different receivers–Alan Galloway, Jeffrey Blake and Harrison Sloan. Alex Boglin and Caleb Durham-Honer added touchdown runs for the Spartans. Devin Thomas led Greater Atlanta Christian’s defensive effort with two interceptions, Josh Rose also picked off a pass and Carson Costas blocked an East Hall punt.

Mill Creek 62, Discovery 0

 How the game was won: Mill Creek forced three safeties and held Discovery to three yards of total offense as the Hawks notched their third shutout of the season and now have a school-record six safeties on the year.

Top Performers: Edmond Graham scored on a 22-yard touchdown run to kick off the rout. Cameron Turley finished 6-of-11 for 85 yards and hit Ace Williams on a 19-yard touchdown pass. The Hawks forced two safeties in the first quarter and Anthony Presto ran in a 1-yard run to make it 25-0 heading into the second quarter. Joe Thomas slid in for a 9-yard touchdown run before Ayoola Ogun-Semore scooped-and-scored on a fumble from 15 yards out. Cole Wroble punched in a 1-yard run to make it 46-0 at the half. Uriah Leverette scored a pair on 1-yard touchdowns in the second half while the Hawks D added one more safety.

Grayson 70, Shiloh 6

 How the game was won: Grayson led 56-0 at halftime and rested its starters for the second half.

Top performers: Rams quarterback Chase Brice was 11-of-15 passing for 235 yards and three touchdowns, finding DeAngelo Gibbs, Jaquavius Lane and Elijah Shah for scores. Brice also rushed for a short TD. Kurt Taylor rushed for 43 yards and two touchdowns and had two catches for 63 yards, and Jamyest Williams rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown and had two catches for 51 yards. Ronald Thompkins, Jacory Jones and Terrence Bozeman also rushed for Rams TDs. Holder Blake May passed for a two-point conversion on a Grayson trick play.

Buford 48, Johnson-Gainesville 0

How the game was won: Anthony Grant opened the scoring onslaught with a 50-yard touchdown run and teammate Christian Turner added three more first quarter rushing touchdowns to build a 28-0 Buford lead. Host Buford added a touchdown in each of the following three quarters. Sophomore Derrian Brown ran in a 28 yard score to push the lead to 35-0 at the half, AJ Wansley scored on a 12-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and Will Westmoreland iced the game with a touchdown pass to sophomore Grant Breyo in the final frame.

Top performers: Christian Turner ran in three Buford touchdowns in the first quarter, including a 58-yard score with 12 seconds left in the quarter.

Brookwood 54, Meadowcreek 0

How the game was won: Seven different Broncos scored in the first half as visiting Brookwood took a 48-0 halftime lead. Junior quarterback Angelo DiSpigna threw two touchdown passes to Matthew Hill in the first quarter, and Hill also ran in a 43-yard touchdown to fuel a 27-0 lead.

Top performers: Brookwood quarterback Angelo DiSpigna tossed five first half touchdowns with two going to Matthew Hill and the others going to Jamison Collier, Nick Prince, and JT Ferebee. Deundre Head and Hill each rushed for scores in the Broncos’ blowout.

Mountain View 21, Peachtree Ridge 20

How the game was won: Carlos Ayala kicked a 47-yard field goal as time expired to give Mountain View a dramatic road win at Peachtree Ridge. The Bears trailed 20-5 at halftime but outscored the Lions 16-0 in the second half. Mountain View amassed only 61 yards of offense in the entire first half, including a total of eight in the span of five possessions, before erupting in the second half.

Top performers: The Bears cut into their deficit on a touchdown pass from Matt Edwards to Dhante Hill. They also got a safety on a sack in the endzone by Bryan Alvarenga. Peachtree Ridge built its lead on an 18-yard scoring jaunt by Fred Payton and he also tossed a touchdown pass to Connor Heyward.

Parkview 63, Lakeside-DeKalb 30

How the game was won: Parkview led 35-17 at halftime and poured it on in the second half at Adams Stadium on the strength of seven touchdown passes from Caleb Mitchell. The Panthers had 500 yards of total offense.

Top performers: Mitchell was 20-of-26 passing for 429 yards and a school-record seven scores, finding Miles Marshall (5 rec, 74 yds) for three touchdown catches, Malik Washington (4 rec, 95 yds) for two touchdowns and Christian Molloy (2 rec, 86 yds, 49 rush yds) and Demetrius West for one each. Justin Long took the opening kickoff 92 yards for a touchdown, and outside linebacker Tommy Rogers had an interception return for a score. Linebacker Ben Markiewicz had 14 total tackles for Parkview.
