International Rugby returns to Fifth Third Bank Stadium

ATLANTA, GA (March 19, 2014)—The Rugby World Cup Qualifying competition between the U.S.A. and Uruguay in the RWC Qualifier is set for March 29th at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.

The match will serve as the second leg of the home-and-home series between the two teams, with Uruguay hosting the initial leg in Montevideo March 22. The aggregate winner of the series will qualify for the Americas 2 spot in England in Pool B with South Africa, Samoa, Scotland and the Asia 1 qualifier.

The Eagles finished a 10-match 2013 season with two consecutive wins against Georgia and Russia Nov. 16 and Nov. 23, respectively.

To qualify for RWC 2015, the Eagles must total more points scored in the two-leg series, a feat they failed to accomplish in two matches against Canada this past August. In the qualifying process for RWC 2011 in New Zealand, the Eagles defeated Uruguay twice: 27-22 in Montevideo and 27-6 in Lauderhill, Fla.

Tickets for the USA Eagles vs. Uruguay 2015 Rugby World Cup Qualifier playoff start at $15.
