One of the state’s best dunkers took part in the 2013 American Family Insurance High School Dunk Championships at GAC over the weekend. Eagles Landing’s Isaiah Dennis earned three perfect scores to beat out the national field of eight to secure his second dunk title of the year, but his first national title. Dennis’ dunks included one over 6-foot-10 teammate Desmond Ringer, a 360-degree windmill that started from behind the backboard and one where he caught a pass off the side of the backboard after jumping over a ball rack before jamming it home.

The 5-foot-11 Dennis helped Eagles Landing win the 2013 Class AAAA state title last month by averaging a team-high 16.2 points, and Dennis will play in the Georgia State backcourt next season along with former Walton standout Ryan Harrow and the sensational RJ Hunter, who wowed as a freshman last season.

Greater Atlanta Christian’s Long Forum also played host to a three-point competition won by Wichita’s Conner Frankamp, a future Kansas Jayhawk.
