Defense wins another one against S. Forsyth, 35-0

The football team’s young defense continued to play well last Friday, shutting out South Forsyth 35-0. In Week 2, the Bulldogs held Brookwood to only three points. Last Friday they held South Forsyth quarterback and Kentucky commitment Brian Adams to a total of 110 yards. Bulldogs quarterback Michael Tamburo had 198 total yards and three touchdowns. “We played fast but patient and did a good job of containing Adams ,” said head coach Bob Sphire. This Friday, the Bulldogs will face their toughest test yet in Norcross. … The softball team defeated South Forsyth last Thursday 8-1 thanks to two doubles by Brandee Kocik and a triple by Kristen Hall. The Bulldogs host Ola this Wednesday at 5 p.m. … The girls cross country team finished ninth in the championship group at the Carrollton Invitational. The girls and boys will both compete in the Gwinnett County Championships this Saturday. … The volleyball team went 4-1 in the Collins Hill Classic last Thursday and Saturday, losing to Hart County

but defeating Tucker, McIntosh, North Cobb and Forsyth Central.
