Max Brown announced yesterday that he is committed to play football at Clemson. He chose the Tigers over Ohio State, Auburn, and Tennessee. He is the younger brother of Clemson LB Sammy Brown who graduated from Jefferson last year.
Brown enters his junior season after a solid sophomore campaign where he posted 14 tackles for loss, two sacks, two pass breakups, and three fumble recoveries.
The Dragons won their 13th all-time region title and third consecutive as the team had a 11-4 overall record and 7-3 record in Class-3A Region 8. They made it all the way to the state championship game where they lost to Calhoun 20-7 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Brown is a tough guy to go up against as he is a good tackler when it comes to making stops on running plays. He can force running backs to take a shorter gain of yards on the majority of plays he is on the field for.
He is going to be a great addition to the Clemson defense as he will join his brother in South Carolina in the fall of 2027.
