The Kell Longhorns have been a top-team in Georgia for sometime now. Having made the playoffs for 16 straight years, the Longhorns look to make it 17 in 2025.
Led by coach Bobby May, the Longhorns look to capture both a region and state championship. May is in his 4th season as head coach at Kell. In which, he has gone 26-9 with one region championship in 2023.
He will have plenty of elite players to use. At the helm of that is senior quarterback Kaleb Narcisse. In 2024, he threw for over 2000 yards and added 22 touchdowns. He also had 427 yards on the ground and another six scores.
Starting running back Quinterrius Gipson also returns. Last season, he ran for 1600 yards and 17 touchdowns. He will be a nice one-two punch with 2027 back Donte Grant. Grant holds an offer from Oregon State. He also plays slot wide receiver.

Narcisse will be able to air out the ball to a ton of talent. Athlete Brayden Rouse is their leading returning receiver, with 382 yards and a team leading eight touchdowns last season. He is also a top five linebacker in the country. 6-4 wide receiver Brock Burrus also poses a major threat to defenses across the state. The junior is almost impossible to guard and is being recruited from many schools. Also, Kell adds the transfer of 6-5 tight end Nathan Agyemang from Creekview.
“We are feeling good, I think we are building our chemistry. As long as we do it together and put it together, we can get it (state championship) done,” Agyemang told Score Atlanta’s Wesley Powell.
Kell is just as-if not more loaded on the defensive side of the ball.
As previously mentioned, Kell has a top five linebacker in the country in Brayden Rouse, who tallied 111 tackles last season. Jaziah Massey-Owens dealt with injury last season, but is an extremely underrated linebacker in the class of 2026. UNC Charlotte commit Michael Domanik is another dominant force that cannot go unnoticed.

The Longhorns defensive back room is arguably the best in the state. Returning starters Jalen Williams (Arizona State commit), Kamoni Adams, and Tony Forney Jr look to dominate in 2025. They will have their work cut out for them in a region that has the likes of Craig Dambridge (Cambridge wide receiver) and Brooks Goodman (Blessed Trinity quarterback) in it.
They transfer Jowell Combay from Harrison and he looks to help add an additional unit to that already stacked DB’s room. Combay was Region Athlete of the Year last season at Harrison, and might be playing both sides of the ball in 2025.
Kell will have to deal with the losses of a few notable names. Leading receivers Jaden George and Trent Wanjogu will be tough to replace. As well as sack leader Tyshawn Natt (eight sacks) who was also third on the team in total tackles (70).
Kell recently took home championships in both the Brent Key/Corky Kell + Dave Hunter and UGA 7-on-7 tournaments.
“It definitely was hard, but it was what we wanted coming into the week and the team played hard,” Brayden Rouse said.
Kell looks to Start off the season on the right note in the Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Classic against South Paulding at The Yard. Paulding has a solid amount of good players including 4-star tackle Tyler Chukuyem.
May and Co. will certainly have a good chance to take home Kell’s first state championship.
