Marist swimmers take top spot

The Walton Raiders continue to climb up in both Class AAAAAA polls after sweeping the Cobb Quads held at the Cobb Aquatic Center over the weekend. The No. 6 Walton boys defeated No. 2 Lassiter by 100 points to take the boys event while the No. 3 girls beat out No. 4 Kennesaw Mountain and No. 7 Lassiter.

The Wesleyan boys moved up to Class A-AAAAA No. 2 after taking out Class AAAAAA No. 9 Chattahoochee in a recent meet. No. 1 Marist remained after taking out Class AAAAAA No. 3 Brookwood and Class A-AAAAA No. 3 Westminster in the Maddy Brown Invitational at Emory. The Wesleyan girls also prevailed and moved up to No. 6. The new No. 1 in girls Class A-AAAAA is Marist, who edged out Westminster in the Maddy Brown Invitational. Class AAAAAA No. 2 Brookwood finished fifth.

The No. 9 Rome girls moved up a spot in the Class A-AAAAA poll after yet another victory. The Rome boys also won a competition against Douglas County and Lithia Springs to move into the polls at No. 10.

Johns Creek checks into the latest AAAAAA boys poll at No. 8.
