NSR more than numbers

If you were to recall the major recruiting services out there, you’d quickly spit out Rivals, Scout, 247sports and ESPN. One recruiting service and scouting company goes above and beyond mere 40-times, bench press weights and star rankings. NSR or National Scouting Report is a complete scouting, evaluation and recruiting service organization unlike any other out there in the market. For the past 32 years, college coaches at every level of competition and in every sport have trusted and used NSR based on the company’s well-renowned reputation.

John Arnold is the Area Director for North Georgia, Central Georgia and Metro Atlanta and serves as an NSR college scout. He noted that he does everything he can to take the burden of getting recruiting off of the parents and student-athletes so the student-athlete can find the best possible college match.

“Once student athletes qualify for our program, they then enjoy maximum exposure and promotion to colleges in all divisions nationwide in their sport,” said Arnold.

The student-athlete must endure a rigorous evaluation process to ensure that he/she is truly qualified as a potential collegiate student-athlete. Arnold will then scout and evaluate in person and/or through video to make certain the student-athlete meets four key requirements for being promoted by NSR: athletic talent, academic qualifications, personal character and family support.

“Honesty and genuine care for each prospect and family is at the core of what we do at National Scouting Report,” said Arnold. “We want to make sure that the student-athletes that we promote to college coaches are what we say they are.”

The honesty has led to college coaches gaining a high respect for Arnold and his fellow scouts, and in turn, NSR.

“National Scouting Report does not have to resort to the ‘fluff’ in order to promote our prospects,” said Arnold. “We know and understand what coaches are looking for and how their recruiting processes work.”

As a result, NSR’s services are designed to emphasize what coaches want and need to accurately evaluate student-athletes based on what the they have told scouts such as Arnold.

“We want the student-athletes and parents to know exactly what the recruiting process really entails and how to efficiently and effectively navigate through it in order to attain their goals,” said Arnold.

So how does NSR accomplish all of this as well as get over 90-percent of its prospects offers to participate in college athletics? By conducting a myriad of promotional strategies, including direct mail brochure promos, direct video promotions, cross-data matches and personal websites. NSR creates a 10-page website for each prospect, providing coaches with a full range of the student-athlete’s academic, athletic and personal qualifications.

“It’s important to note that this is a continuous process, not a one-time effort,” said Arnold. “By providing college coaches with various ways to identify and evaluate our prospects, our clients will be discovered and recruited.”
