The 172nd episode of the Georgia Farm Bureau “Georgia Prep Sports: Drive for the GHSA State Title” video podcast will feature North Murray head coach Preston Poag ahead of his Mountaineer’ Class 2A playoff opener at Region 8 champion Fellowship Christian. North Murray carries a 6-4 record into the matchup out of a stacked Region 7 and has averaged a school-record 41.40 points per game this season.
Also, host Craig Sager II will interview Hampton head coach Chad Ashley as his 7-3 Hornets prepare for a first round trip to Holy Innocents’ in the Class 4A bracket. Hampton’s 7-3 regular season this year already surpassed the program’s 5-6 finish in 2019 as the most successful season in the school’s nine year existence.
Host Craig Sager II will spend a separate segment breaking down more of the brackets with insight on all eight classes and which teams he predicts will be representing their classifications in this year’s state championships.
