Blessed Trinity will host the first 2025 Georgia Elite Classic Showcase on Sunday, July 20 and registration is now open for any high school, middle school or flag football players interested in competing in the December All-Star Games. The showcase will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and will be held rain or shine. Each year the initial showcase has proven to be a prime opportunity for the participants to earn invites to the televised all-star games in December and there were a total of 60 invites awarded last year after the first showcase.
Each of the Georgia Elite Classic Showcases offer players an opportunity to compete, improve, and display their abilities to the Georgia Elite Classic selection and review committee, which includes Rusty Mansell of On3 Recruiting who will be on-site evaluating players at the event. Mansell and the committee will be awarding invitations to the Georgia Elite Classic All-Star Games after the drills conclude at Blessed Trinity. The showcase will feature measurable testing such as the 40-yard dash and NFL shuttle, as well as position specific drills to test players’ abilities.
The Georgia Elite Classic was first introduced in December of 2013 and has provided a stage for many of the state’s top prospects in each year since. While operating as an annual all-star game series, the Classic has expanded over the years and will broadcast the 13th edition this December at McEachern High School live on the Peachtree Sports Network and streamed digitally on the Atlanta News First app and the National Federation High School Network. This year will have a two-day lineup with middle school and flag football games on the first day and then an exclusive lineup of four separate high school games with a freshman, sophomore, junior and senior game closing out the lineup.
The Class of 2015 was represented in the Junior Game of the Inaugural Georgia Elite Classic in 2013 and therefore is the earliest graduating class to come through the event. The Class of 2016 was represented in the 2014 Classic’s Junior Game the following year and the Class of 2017, Class of 2018 and Class of 2019 came through with the more recent Class of 2020-22. While looking back through each of the Georgia Elite Classic rosters of the classes that graduated (2015-2024) there were 1,554 individuals that have gone on to play at the next level. This staggering number also includes current NFL players Darius Slayton and Chuma Edoga, who were featured in the first-ever Classic as well as John Fitzpatrick, Jake Camarda and Jahmyr Gibbs who were taken in recent NFL Drafts.
More milestones continue to enrich the proud history of the Georgia Elite Classic and the introduction of flag football to the lineup has been especially notable. North Cobb wide receiver Amaia Hardy made history last year at one of the Blessed Trinity showcases when she became the first-ever flag football participant at a Georgia Elite Showcase and she has opened the door for huge opportunities this year for flag football players interested in competing in this year’s all-star games.
The sign-up below includes a $60 registration fee if you are able to register before the day of the event. The day-of registration fee will be $75.
