SportSouth to Televise 24th Annual MetroPCS Corky Kell Classic Presented by Great Clips

ATLANTA (August 12, 2015) – SportSouth will be the official television partner of the 2015 MetroPCS Corky Kell Classic presented by Great Clips and will televise all seven Georgia high school football games played on August 21-22, 2015.

“Georgia is a hotbed of football talent at the high school level, and the Corky Kell Classic puts some of the state’s top talent on display,” said Jeff Genthner, senior vice president and general manager, SportSouth. “This event continues to gain recognition, and we are pleased to deliver these seven marquee games to our viewers.”

Viewers can also stream all seven games on FOX Sports GO, a free mobile app that will provide live streaming video of the Corky Kell Classic, in addition to other FOX Sports programming. FOX Sports GO is available for iOS, Android, select Windows devices, Fire Tablets, Fire Phones, Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, and on desktops at FOXSportsGO.com.

“Many people around the country that know high school sports feel this is the top high school football event in the country,’’ said I.J. Rosenberg, president of Score Atlanta, who is a co-owner of the Corky Kell Classic. “It would be hard to find two days where you will see this much talent on the field at one time anywhere else. We are thrilled that SportSouth will bring more than 21 hours of competitive high school football to fans in seven states.”

Friday’s games will be played at the state-of-the-art Walter Cantrell Stadium, located at McEachern High School in Powder Springs, GA. Saturday’s games will return to the Georgia Dome – home of the Atlanta Falcons – following a one-year hiatus.
