While more and more tournaments are popping up each year for youth sports, players and their parents may be confused as to which ones offer the best avenue to showcase ability. Sportz Cirxuit has quickly become the place for all things sports as the company specializes in youth sports tournaments in and around Atlanta. Sportz Cirxuit does it all, from hiring to officials to catering to making hotel accommodations to hosting the actual basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, soccer and baseball events.

Archie Whaley, the director at Sportz Cirxuit, is excited about some of the upcoming events over the next few months as basketball is taking center stage. This weekend, the 2013 AAU Boys and Girls Tip-Off Jamboree takes place in Villa Rica.

“We are seeing more and more AAU teams popping up with young girls as the boys are moving on to the Exposure Events,” said Whaley. “We run the event based on grade level, not age, so we’ll have third to 12th grade events.”

The next weekend, the female AAU graduates who have moved on to the Exposure Elite circuit will be able to take part in the high school and junior college event at the Coretta Scott King Academy. The boys get their chance the following week at the B.E.S.T. Academy.

“Our Exposure events on April 20 and 27 are NCAA certified and the players must attend an NCAA clinch at the event,” said Whaley. “In those clinics, they’ll be put through skill set drills such as dribbling, rebounding, passing, defense and shooting.”

Whaley also mentioned that several former NBA and WNBA players will serve as instructors including Anthony Miller and Willie Anderson.

In May, Sportz Cirxuit will host several AAU Showdown and Champions events at the B.E.S.T. Academy and several other venues in DeKalb County.

In June, the AAU season takes a break and Sportz Cirxuit hosts a huge high school girls and boys team tournament, designed specifically for complete high school teams. The camp and tournament will take place at Therrell High School.

In July, Sportz Cirxuit jumps back into the AAU fold with additional showcases across DeKalb County during the NCAA open period.

“We are focused on basketball this summer,” said Whaley. “We will be adding volleyball and lacrosse soon and we’re looking to host a baseball UAAA tournament.”

If you are a budding athlete between the ages of eight and 17, Sportz Cirxuit wants to help provide you with the necessary tools needed to take your game to the next level.
