3-star linebacker Jerimia Collier decommitted from Cincinnati. The standout linebacker announced it via his X page that he would explore his options and open his recruitment fully.
After talks with my coaches and family, I’ve decided to re-open my recruitment.
Much respect to The university of Cincinnati and Coach Braswell for the opportunity.

Collier was committed to the Bearcats since September 21st. He picked up offers from Western Kentucky, East Carolina, and Miami (OH) back in February. So what’s next for Collier? Expect for college coaches to go and visit Collier at Jonesboro and official visits to be locked in soon, with the end of May and June right around the corner. A few have been by to see him, including East Carolina and Mississippi State. It is an important spring for Collier as he looks to show coaches that he is back to form.
In 2024, he dealt with an injury that required him to miss significant time. During his sophomore season, he really made a name for himself, finishing with 115 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, five sacks, five fumble recoveries, and an interception.
According to 247Sports Composite, Collier is a three-star prospect, the No. 81 LB, the No. 96 player in Georgia, and the No. 965 player nationally. Collier is ranked the highest on ESPN with a top 50 ranking at the LB position.
When you watch him play, Collier plays with a chip on his shoulder and his head on fire. He is known for his aggressive and a player that attacks the offense. He loves to come downhill and make opposing running backs and offense line feel his presence. The recruiting coordinator at Jonesboro Coach Darrian Carmicheal, (better known as Coach Syrup) describes the talent of Collier well.
“He is a hard-hitting LB with a nose for the ball, a big, big-time turnover magnet,” said Carmicheal.
He will be one to watch as recruiting season heats up with kids scheduling their official visits, getting recruited at their spring practices, and coaches constantly calling and talking to them. Collier should be one that sees more offers rolling in especially for what he can bring on the football field.
