South Georgia school claims second straight gymnastics title

Tift County gymnastics

Tift County edged Lambert 112.125 to 111.875 in the gymnastics state championship meet at Westminster Friday night. It is the Blue Devils’ second straight title.

Beth Roberts led Tift County by winning three individual events and the all-around individual medal. Lambert’s Paige Drehoff won the lone exercise Roberts didn’t conquer, but it would not be enough for the Longhorns. Libby Barbour finished second in the floor and the beam for Tift County.
