The North Carolina Tar Heels had a big weekend on the recruiting trail, securing commitments from two Georgia prospects.
Mill Creek defensive lineman Devin Ancrum and Marietta edge rusher Anthony Kruah both committed to play for Mack Brown and the Tar Heels. Ancrum is a 3-star defensive tackle who has seen his recruitment heat up since the beginning of the year, receiving offers from schools like NC State, Duke, and Maryland before deciding to commit to UNC.

Similarly, Kruah is a 3-star player who projects as an outside linebacker at the next level. His recruitment has seen him obtain offers from schools such as Auburn, Baylor, and Duke, with him eventually choosing to head to Chapel Hill.

Ancrum and Kruah become the fourth and fifth players from Georgia to commit to UNCs 2025 class, joining Gainesvilles Alex Payne, Jones Countys Javion Butts, and Rabun Gaps Marshall Pritchett in Chapel Hill. Ancrum is the third Mill Creek player to head to UNC in the past two years, joining Aidan Banfield and Jaiden Patterson.

Kruah is the highest-rated recruit to come out of Marietta since the 2020 recruiting class and is the third highest-rated player currently committed to the Tar Heels in 2025, while Ancrum is their highest-ranked defensive line commit. UNCs 2025 recruiting class has 10 committed players and is ranked No. 16 in the nation according to 247Sports. It is currently the highest-ranked recruiting class for UNC since the 2022 class, a class that finished ranked No. 11 in the country.
