Week 11 Boys Lacrosse Rankings

It’s the final week of the regular season for lacrosse coming up. Let’s take a look at the rankings and what has changed before the final games commence.

In Division 1, No. 1 Wesleyan had an idle week and will face George Walton Academy and Greater Atlanta Christian in its final two games of the season. No. 2 Allatoona defeated Division 3 No. 5 North Paulding 13-7 this week. Allatoona will face top-ranked Cambridge on Monday night. No. 3 Marist had an idle week but will face Starr’s Mill and St. Pius X this week. No. 4 Lovett shut out Kennesaw Mountain in an 18-0 victory. Lovett will close out the season against Greater Atlanta Christian and Lambert. Starr’s Mill, Greater Atlanta Christian, Cambridge, Whitewater, and Blessed Trinity round out the poll. No. 10 Blessed Trinity makes its debut in the poll for the first time this season, and Pace Academy falls out.

In Division 2, No. 1 Lassiter suffered its first loss of the season but proved they can hang with the elite teams in the state, falling by a mere goal to Lambert, 10-9. The Trojans rebounded against Pope with an 11-6 victory on Friday. No. 2 Roswell picked up wins over Dunwoody and Wheeler this week and will close out the season against River Ridge. No. 3 Woodstock moved up a spot in the poll and is on a current five-game winning streak. No. 4 Lakeside-Evans also saw a move up this week. They are playing some of their best ball and are on a current seven-game winning streak. No. 5 Milton went 1-1 this week but remains a top-five team in their division. Benedictine, Savannah Country Day, Northgate, Decatur, and Hebron Christian round out the poll.

In Division 3, No. 1 Lambert faced its toughest test yet, going against Division 2 No. 1 Lassiter but came out on top in a 10-9 victory on Wednesday. No. 2 Buford picked up an out-of-state win over Issaquah (WA). No. 3 Mill Creek finished the season on a four-game winning streak and picked up wins over North Gwinnett and North Oconee this week. No. 4 Denmark went 1-1 this week, defeating North Atlanta 13-4 but fell to South Forsyth 9-6. No. 5 North Paulding jumps into the top five and is on a current three-game winning streak, defeating Walker and Campbell this week. North Paulding, Brookwood, Carrollton, Alpharetta, and West Forsyth round out the poll. No. 10 West Forsyth will close out the season against Division 2 No. 5 Milton on Tuesday.
