Week 12 football rankings

In Class AAAAAAA, only one of the two top 10 matchups last Friday had an impact on the standings. A 15-0 win by No. 5 Norcross over No. 9 Brookwood wasn’t enough to shake the standings, however Colquitt County and Lowndes switched places at No. 5 after the Packers defeated Lowndes 42-35 to close the regular season.

In Class AAAAAA, Houston County’s 45-35 upset win over Northside-Warner Robins brought Houston County back into the top 10, while dropping the Eagles to No. 5. Grady jumped Ware County for No. 6 in Class AAAAA and Class AAAA saw Troup replace Stephens County for No. 9 after Stephens County dropped a 35-7 region showdown with No. 4 Jefferson. Troup joins the top 10 for the first time this season at 8-1 after posting a 1-9 record last season. Burke County dropped to No. 10 with its loss to Thomson.

Class AAA Lovett jumped to No. 8 after defeating Pace Academy 35-3. Darlington returns to the Class A-Private top 10 and replaces Stratford Academy. In Class A-Public, Taylor County replaced Marion County in the top 10 after moving to 9-1 last Friday with a 41-12 win over Greenville.
