In Class, North Gwinnett jumped to No. 2 after previous No. 2 Pope dropped a 9-8 game at No. 4 Etowah. Centennial dropped to No. 8 after an 16-11 loss to Johns Creek on Tuesday and North Gwinnett takes over No. 1 with its blazing 10-0 start.

Westminster remains No. 1 in Class A-AAAAA, while Greater Atlanta Christian and Allatoona round up a loaded top 3. The remaining poll stays the same for the first time this season with no upsets or shifts.

In Class AAAAAA girls, Milton fell 12-2 to out-of-state McDonogh School (MD) on Thursday but remain No. 1 after its 14-9 win over Walton two weeks ago. Mill Creek continues its explosive scoring and solidifies its place at No. 2 with a 10-0 start. Northview brings the biggest shift in the rankings after topping North Gwinnett 13-10 on Wednesday. The Titans hold wins over Harrison and North Gwinnett now and debut at No. 7.

In Class A-AAAAA, expect a showdown between No. 4 Westminster and No. 3 Cambridge Thursday night to clarify the hierarchy. Westminster is coming off a big 11-10 win over North Gwinnett while Cambridge’s more difficult instate schedule will have the Bears prepared for this battle.
