Brookwood is at the top of the state’s highest class this week and is 13-3 following its 70-40- victory over Archer Saturday. Grayson, North Forsyth, Norcross and South Forsyth round the top 5. In Class 6A, Carrollton is the team to beat ahead of River Ridge, Buford, Lovejoy and Kell.
Woodward Academy tops Class 5A and leads Forest Park, Jackson-Atlanta, Greenbrier and Union Grove. In Class 4A, Jefferson is at the top with Luella, Carver-Columbus, Baldwin and Marist chasing. Lumpkin County leads Class 3A ahead of Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, Cross Creek, Greater Atlanta Christian and East Jackson in the top 5.
Elbert County is at the top of Class 2A and leading Fannin County, Rabun County, Josey and Northeast-Macon. Holy Innocents’ is the team to beat in Class A Private and leads Mount Paran, St. Francis, Hebron Christian and Calvary Day. Lake Oconee County takes over Class A Public and leads Montgomery County, Screven County, Taylor County and Dublin.
