Woodland-Stockbridge rising-senior interior offensive linemen, Jared Smith announced his top-four schools on Tuesday afternoon heading into the summer before his senior season.
The rising-senior has narrowed his decision down to Georgia Tech, Georgia, Rutgers and Auburn as the offensive linemen enters his final high school off season.
“I’ve been praying for God’s guidance throughout this entire process, and I’m grateful to have these four schools—Rutgers, Georgia, Auburn, and Georgia Tech—as my top choices. Each one has stood out to me in different ways,” said Smith.
Standing at around 6-foot-5, 325-pounds, Smith measurables prove that he is more than ready for his next step in his football journey as some of the top programs across the country offered him during his high school career.
Smith held other offers from big programs such as Miami, Memphis and USF but ultimately narrowed it down to his top-four schools.
“Rutgers has been consistent and intentional from the start,” said Smith. They’ve really made me feel seen, and I’ve built a strong bond with the coaches there. Georgia is homegrown—it’s a powerhouse program with incredible development and a chance to represent my state. Auburn has this genuine, family-like feel and a vision I believe in. Georgia Tech offers not only high-level football but top-tier academics, especially in areas I’m interested in for life after football.”
According to 247Sports.com, the recruiting site lists him as a 4-star product in the Class of 2026, rated as a top-40 best player in the state and a top-30 interior offensive linemen in the country.
Under head coach Robert Cummings, Smith is a part of a Woodland-Stockbridge team that is looking to improve 3-7 record last season with the Wolfpack.
The 4-star offensive linemen looks to bring success to a Woodland-Stockbridge program that hasn’t made the postseason since 2016 when the Wolfpack made a quarterfinals appearance.
