Eagles put an end to Buford's streak

The Buford Wolves continue to prepare for another state championship run. They solidified their top ranking in AAA thanks in large part to a no-hitter by Emily Crocker in an 11-0 win over North Hall Tuesday. Buford (13-1, 6-0 in Region 7-AAA) was boosted by Noah Suddereth's home run in the third inning. The only slip for Crocker was a second-inning walk. The Wolves are bidding for their seventh straight title.



Buford's only blemish this fall is a loss to Collins Hill over the weekend at North Gwinnett. The Eagles were paced by a five-run first inning thanks to three consecutive doubles by Calli Star, Aeshia Miles and Tyra Holliday. Amanda Chance earned the complete game win for the Eagles. Collins Hill is the top-ranked team in AAAAAA.



Heritage-Conyers continues to push on their own run for a state title. Ranked No. 3 in AAAAA, the Patriots are undefeated in Region 8-AAAAA and posted an easy 14-0 win over Gainesville at home Saturday. Kierra Camp went the distance pitching for the Patriots and drove in three runs.



The No. 3-ranked team in AAAAAA, the Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs continue to roll with a 14-1 record (4-0 in Region 4-AAAAAA). Kathryn Woody continues to be the workhorse for Kennesaw Mountain. She pitched a 7-3 complete game win at home over Marietta last week.



Allatoona remains unbeaten in Region 5-AAAAA. The Buccaneers are 5-0 in region competition. Allatoona (ranked No. 4 in AAAAA) pitchers have allowed just two runs against teams from their region.
