In Class 7A, Milton earned No. 1 after its 31-21 win over Walton to clinch its second all-time state title and defeated three teams ranked in the national top 25 poll in the postseason to accomplish that feat. The Eagles opened at No. 3 in the preseason poll and defeated No. 3 Grayson and No. 4 Colquitt County during its championship run. In Class 6A, Thomas County Centrals dominant 49-28 win over Woodward Academy earns the Yellow Jackets No. 1 and the top 5 is rounded out by the War Eagles and semifinalists Douglas County and Marist at the No. 3 and No. 4 spots ahead of one-loss Gainesville.

Coffee won its first-ever state title in a dominant 31-14 win over Creekside and produced the best defensive season in all classifications this season. In Class 4A, Perry earned its first-ever state title with a 38-27 win over Stockbridgewhich was undefeated in Class 4A heading into the finals after topping two-time defending state champion Benedictine in the semis.

Bowdon defeated Manchester 28-27 in the Class A Division II title game to finish atop the class. Manchester finished No. 2 with Schley County, Early County and Telfair County rounding the top 5.

Cedar Grove finished atop Class 3A after upending No. 2 Savannah Christian in the championship game 49-28. Calvary Day, Mary Persons and Lumpkin County fill the top 5.

Pierce County finishes atop Class 2A with runner-up Rockmart at No. 2. The Bears defeated Rockmart 48-45 in the 2A title game. Cook, Fitzgerald and Callaway round out the top 5.

Georgia Tech-commit quarterback Aaron Philo set the new state passing record while leading Prince Avenue to a 49-32 victory over Swainsboro in the Class A Division I title game. The Wolverines finish at No. 1 with Swainsboro, Brooks County, Bryan County and Elbert County filling the top 5.
