In Class AAAAAAA, top-ranked Walton swept Lassiter and collected its 14th all-time state crown. Semifinalist No. 3 Etowah and No. 4 Roswell give Area 4-AAAAAAA four spots in the top 4 of the final poll. Milton was the only team in the pre-playoff poll that did not wind up in the final rankings and Brookwood replaced the Eagles at No. 9.
Allatoona defeated Sequoyah to win its first-ever state title and tops the Class AAAAAA poll. River Ridge joined the top 10 at No. 7 ahead of Apalachee.
In Class AAAAA, Area 6-AAAAAs McIntosh, Whitewater and Starrs Mill lead the poll and Riverwood and Chamblee round out the top 5. Blessed Trinity defeated defending champion St. Pius to take over No. 1 in Class AAAA and Pace Academy topped rival Westminster to steal No. 1 in Class AAA.
Coosa used a five-set thriller over Elite Scholars Academy to retain the top spot in Class AA/A-Public. In Class AA/A-Private, pre-playoff No. 1 Hebron Christian swept pre-playoff No. 2 Walker for the state title.
