The football team won a decisive 52-21 victory at North Paulding on Oct. 31 to win the Battle of the County Line Bucket.The smashing victory avenged a loss to North Paulding on Oct. 3. Running back C.J. Best was outstanding and finished with 340 yards rushing and four touchdowns. Best scored on the Bucs first offensive play of the day, sprinting 90 yards for a touchdown. Allatoona finished the game with 450 total yards of offense. Fullback Jordan Cain scored on a 40-yard run. The Bucs end their regular season on Friday night against Murray County. The volleyball team finished seventh in Area 5-AAAA with a 4-22 overall record and a 3-5 league record. That was good enough to put them in the state playoffs against No. 8-ranked Chamblee (ranking is according to GaSports.com Week 10 rankings). The Lady Bucs lost by a final score of 3-0 (25-9, 25-16, 25-12). The cross country teams had a couple of fantastic overall finishes at the Sharptop Invitational. Natalie Buckshaw finished fourth for the girls and Corbin Williams came in sixth overall for the boys team.
