With the playoffs upon us, the new rankings take into account the seeding but also the title chances of the teams in the polls. In Class AAAAAA, No. 1 Harrison could potentially meet No. 7 Grayson or No. 8 Lassiter in the third round. The Rams and Trojans face off in Round 1 with the winner potentially facing No. 5 Lambert in the second round. No. 4 Walton faces Dacula and could meet South Forsyth in the second round. Hillgrove or Newnan could face the Raiders for the right to advance to the semifinals. A potential showdown between No. 2 Parkview and No. 9 Collins Hill looms in Round 2 as well.

In Class AAAAA, Whitewater remains No. 1 and could meet defending Class AAA champion Allatoona in the quarterfinals. No. 2 Lakeside-DeKalb is another potential quarterfinal foe for Whitewater, which many would consider that the de facto state championship. A potential No. 3 Glynn Academy/No. 5 McIntosh game in the second round could leave the winner drained with No. 4 North Paulding and No. 7 Northview in the lower half of the bracket.

Class AAAA No. 1 Marist could meet No. 3 Locust Grove in the Elite Eight if the top seeds win out in that side of the bracket. No. 2 Heritage-Catoosa shares a bracket with No. 4 Cairo while No. 6 Columbus and No. 7 Grady share a quarter of the bracket.

In Class A, the top seven teams have a bye into Round 2 with No. 8 Providence Christian needing to beat Mt. Pisgah to earn the right to face No. 6 Paideia. No. 9 Fellowship Christian would meet No. 3 Mt. Paran with a win over Towns County and No. 10 Eagles Landing Christian would face No. 7 Calvary Day with a victory over Pacelli.
