Mays, Cartersville debut in football rankings

As many Class AAAAAA giants enjoyed off weeks, there was action throughout the state resulting in changes to the majority of the six classifications.
Mays joined the Class AAAAA rankings after beating Class AAAAAA giant Lovejoy. Allatoona moved up to No. 6 and Kell dropped to No. 5 after a close shave against Cambridge. Houston County was beaten by Lakeside-Evans and fell out of the top 10.
Eagle's Landing fell out of the Class AAAA rankings which allowed 3-1 Cartersville to enter at N0. 9.
Adairsville jumped Westside Macon in Class AAAA after a big win over undefeated neighbor Sonoraville.
Screven County debuted in Class AA as it improved to 5-0 with an impressive win over Jefferson County.
In Class A, Greenville joined the public rankings while Telfair County fell out after getting blown out by Irwin County.
