Region 1-AAAAAA teams have had an amazing time romping through the non-region parts of their schedules this season. Camden County, Colquitt County, Lee County, Lowndes, Valdosta and Tift County are each undefeated to the tune of a combined 28-0 record. Consequently, four of those teams are in our top five in the state's largest classification. Defense has been the name of the game in Region 1, as Valdosta, for example, has given up just 10 points in five games (all of them to Class AAAAA No. 5 Thomas Co. Cen.). Lee County and Tift County each have two shutouts.

Also in Class AAAAAA, Roswell and East Coweta have joined the fray at Nos. 9 and 10, respectively.

Following its loss to Creekside, Stephenson fell to No. 10 in Class AAAAA while the Seminoles jumped to No. 3. Previous No. 1 Northside-Warner Robins fell to No. 6 while Jones County, which beat the Eagles this weekend, soared into the rankings to No. 5.Ware County took over at No. 1 in Class AAAAA after starting the season 4-0 with impressive wins over Brooks County, Coffee and Richmond Hill.

Class AAAA remained largely the same, although Cairo reappeared at No. 10 after a week out of the rankings.Class AAA saw no changes from last week.

In Class AA, Darlington debuted in the top 10 after a 3-1 start in which the lone loss came to an out-of-state team (Murphy, N.C.).

Class A-Private had some movement in the back five as Pacelli rose to No. 7 and Tattnall Square to No. 8. Pinecrest Academy and St. Francis both debuted after undefeated starts.

Class A-Public saw Commerce jump to No. 7 and Claxton debut at No. 8 after beating ECI, which dropped to No. 9.
