In Class AAAAAA, the top three teams dominated in the Corky Kell Classic over the weekend. Top-ranked Archer cruised by North Paulding 49-21 as junior Jamyest Williams rushed for five touchdowns. Colquitt County powered through North Gwinnett 45-15 on Saturday. The Packers ran for 117 yards and threw for 224 yards. On defense, North Gwinnett was limited to 70 yards rushing, forced two fumbles, intercepted a pass and was sacked four times. The loss dropped North Gwinnett out of the poll. No. 3 McEachern scored 27 points in the second quarter and saw Sam Jackson take nine carries for 161 yards and three touchdowns in a 50-14 blowout over Tucker. Grayson was off this week and No. 5 Mill Creek stifled Brookwood 42-7. Roswell solidified its elite status with a 35-8 win over Lowndes and Etowah improved to No. 7 with a 54-21 win over Marietta. Norcross debuts at No. 8 after its thrilling 34-31 win over Valdosta and Peachtree Ridge dropped to No. 10 after falling to a tough Christian Presbyterian team out of Tennessee 35-21.

In Class AAAAA, Kells 35-0 win over Carrollton improved the Longhorns to No. 5 and Cambridge debuts at No. 9 after a 41-0 win over Holy Innocents.

Griffin replaced Carrollton in the Class AAAA poll and the Class AAA top 10 remained in tact.

Class AA saw dramatic changes as Benedictine topped Greater Atlanta Christian and busted our preseason rankings. The Cadets took No. 1 ahead of No. 2 Pace Academy.
