In Class 6A, No. 1 Grayson was defeated 60-46 to Californias Sierra Canyon in the Hoophall Classicexperiencing its second out-of-state loss of the season to a national powerhouse and dropped to 17-2 on the season. No. 2 Wheeler responded strongly from its 81-77 win over Etowah by topping Newton 77-64. The aftermath opened up an opportunity for McEachern to climb to No. 3 this week, while Newton slid slightly to No. 5. Norcross also returned to the poll at No. 9 with a big win 71-64 over Meadowcreekwhich had replaced the Blue Devils in last weeks poll at No. 9.

Class 5A shifted with Winder-Barrow moving up to No. 4 after defeating previous No. 4 Habersham Central 67-59. Central-Carroll moved up from No. 8 to No. 6 this week in Class 4A and St. Pius slid to No. 9 after falling 70-61 to Tuckerwhich moved up to No. 8. In Class 3A, Sandy Creek moved up one spot to No. 4.

In Class 2A, No. 2 Columbia defeated South Atlanta 55-51 in overtime and South Atlanta moved up to No. 4 after that narrow loss and wins over Salem (66-53) and Bible Baptist (62-57). In Class A Div. II, Randolph-Clay defeated previous No. 3 ranked Calhoun County 56-41 and moved up to this weeks No. 3 with the victory. Trion also used wins over Mt. Zion-Carroll and Class A Div. I No. 9 Model to replace Mt. Zion-Carroll in the Class A Div. II poll at No. 10. Mt. Vernon replaced Darlington at No. 10 in Class A-3A Private after a 71-63 win over the Tigerswho also fell to Model last week.
