Week 2 Girls Soccer Rankings

Lassiter takes the top spot this week in the states highest classification following Peachtree Ridges loss to Grayson on Feb. 20 (1-0). Parkview is the new No. 2 and Walton, Roswell and Peachtree Ridge fill out the top five.

In Class AAAAAA, Harrison holds the top spot again this week following a dominant victory over Kennesaw Mountain on Feb. 16. Effingham County moved up from fourth to second ahead of Glynn Academy, Johns Creek and Sequoyah.

McIntosh holds the No. 1 rank for the second-consecutive week in Class AAAAA. Flowery Branch, previously ranked fourth, moved up to second with Veterans, Harris County and Warner Robins rounding out the top five.

Marist took the No. 1 spot in Class AAAA after defending champion St. Pius X fell to fifth. Northwest Whitfield, Southeast Whitfield and Jefferson hold the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 spots, respectively.

Defending champion Westminster is the team to beat in Class AAA with Lovett, Pace, Calhoun and GAC chasing. Lovett, previously third, overtook Pace Academy following a 4-0 shutout victory on Feb. 20.

Defending champion St. Vincents is on top of Class AA with East Laurens, Screven County, Swainsboro and Rockmart rounding out the top five. In Class A, Holy Innocents overtook defending champion Wesleyan as the top team. Wesleyan settled to sixth. Eagles Landing Christian, Brookstone, Prince Avenue and Mount Vernon Presbyterian round out the top five.
