The top three teams in Class AAAAAAA havent moved from their preseason spots, and all have managed impressive wins. Colquitt defeated Class AAAAAA No. 1 Tucker, and Lowndes thrashed Class AAAAAAA No. 4. Parkview last weekend; Grayson was off after wins over Hoover (Ala.) and McEachern in the first two weeks. Parkview, previously No. 4, drops out after failing to compete with Lowndes, and North Cobb bumps up to No. 6 with a win over Class AAAAAA Harrison. Walton debuts at No. 10 with a 3-0 start and two Gwinnett wins.

Tucker kept it close with Class AAAAAAA No. 3 Colquitt County, holding a lead into the second half in Moultrie, so theres no need to move the Tigers anywhere. Harrison suffers a second-straight loss, this time against a ranked Class AAAAAAA North Cobb team by just three points, but the Hoyas tough schedule is why theyre 1-2, and an idle Langston Hughes stayed one place behind them. Valdosta is clearly not close to the team it fielded last season, losing by 10 to AAAAA Wayne County and dropping out of the rankings.

A new No.1, Greater Atlanta Christian, is in charge of Class AAA after Peach County went down against Class AAAAA Warner Robins. The Spartans had the week off last week and will play host to Valor Christian, Colo. On Friday. GAC fell to the Eagles 21-17 in Colorado last year. Peach County settled at the No. 2 spot after losing to Warner Robins on an Eli Mashburn field goal as time expired. No. 3 Cedar Grove rested last week. Crisp County moved from No. 6 to No. 4 after a 28-0 demolishing of Turner County. Calhoun dropped to fifth after falling to Cartersville 58-6.

Benedictine made the best of last weeks rest with a 41-13 win over St. Pius X, maintaining its No. 1 rankings. Hapeville Charter moved up to second after a convincing 37-3 win over Class AAA Pace Academy. Fitzgerald, previously second, fell to third after a 24-21 loss to Class AAAAAAA Camden County. No. 4 Rabun County beat Stephens County 28-6 last week to move from No. 6 to No. 4. Screven County moved to fifth after a 48-13 win over Wade Hampton, S.C.

ELCA continues to dominate, routing Knoxville Catholic (Tenn.) 55-10. The Chargers stay atop a classification that saw no change in its rankings this week, as all teams either won, were off or lost to quality/ranked teams from at least two classifications higher.
