Defending state champion Colquitt County returned to its well-dersved spot at No. 1 after posting its 19th straight victory on Friday. Grayson jumped to No. 2 with a 26-24 victory over Archer. McEachern lost 9-6 to Peachtree Ridge and fell three spots to No. 6. The Lions re-entered thetop 10 with the victory. Walton stunned host Etowah 35-10 on Friday and knocked last year's semifinalists out of the poll where they will look to regroup in a tight race for the Region 5 title. The undefeated Raiders improved to No. 7.

In Class AAAAA, the poll remains the same, despite a 23-14 loss by No. 9 Coffee to No. 2 Ware County. Jonesboro's 17-7 loss to Eagle's Landing dropped the Cardinals to No. 9 in this week's poll and the Golden Eagles debut at No. 8. Thomson replaced Burke County at No. 10 after a 49-14 win over Hart County.

In Class AAA, Peach County and Central-Carroll debut at No. 8 and No. 9 respectively. Hart County fell out of the poll after its 49-14 loss to Thomson and 3-0 Adairsville debuts.

Dublin improved to 3-0 with a 34-16 win over Twiggs County and replaced Macon County, which fell 34-33 to Perry.

In Class A-Private, Tattnall Square debuted at No. 10 and Greenville jumped into the Class A-Public top 10 with a 26-0 win over Schley County.
