The Class 7A poll did not shift for the first week this season and Gainesville moved up to No. 1 this week in Class 6A. Roswell fell to No. 5 after its loss to Class 7A No. 7 Milton and Houston County moved up to No. 3. Thomas County Central improved to No. 4 and Blessed Trinity replaced Woodward Academy after the War Eagles dropped to 1-2 with its loss to No. 7 Marist.

In Class 5A, Warner Robins slid to No. 6 after its loss to Valdosta and Cartersville, Coffee and Jefferson each moved up a spot in the process. Kell moved up to No. 9 after its massive win over previously-unbeaten Sprayberry. In Class 4A, Wayne County tumbled from No. 5 to No. 9 and Perry moved up a spot with Holy Innocents to No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.

Cedar Grove tops Class 3A with Calvary Day, Stephens County, Sandy Creek and Savannah Christian in the top 5. In Class 2A, Thomson is at the top and leading Appling County, Pierce County, Callaway and Northeast.

In Class A Division I, Prince Avenue Christian remains as the team to beat and is leading Swainsboro, Irwin County, Bleckley County and Brooks County in the top 5. In Class A Division II, Schley County is ranked No. 1 and ahead of Macon County, Manchester, Clinch County and Bowdon.
