In Class 7A, No. 1 Grayson improved to 4-0 with a 26-7 win over Archer and sits at No. 5 in the current Maxpreps National poll. The Rams sit ahead of No. 2 Lowndes and Colquitt County, which replaced North Gwinnett at No. 3 following the Bulldogs 19-7 loss to Lovejoy. Brookwood jumped from No. 7 to No. 4 after defeating Mill Creek 24-13 to improve to 3-0.

Class 6A saw Lovejoy enter the poll at No. 7 following its big victory over North Gwinnett. In addition to the Wildcats, Douglas County makes its debut at No. 9. The two newcomers to the poll replace Rome and Kell.

In Class 5A, Coffee dropped from No. 6 to No. 8 after a 17-10 loss to Houston County and Ola and Harris County replaced Woodward Academy and Jonesboro in the rankings. The biggest change that occurred in Class 4A was Northwest Whitfield (4-0) knocking Mays out of the poll and debuting at No. 9.
