Following its 2-0 defeat of then No. 1 Lassiter on March 13, Milton debuts at the top of the states highest classification this week. Lassiter settles at second. Mill Creek moved from No. 7 to No. 5 following Waltons slide to seventh.
In Class AAAAAA, Johns Creek is in the lead again this week. But following a loss to No. 10 Creekview on March 13, former No. 2 Harrison fell to fourth. Creekview climbed to second following the thrilling 2-1 upset.
Its business as usual in Class AAAAA as McIntosh leads the way. In fact, the top five stays the same following last weeks rankings. Flowery Branch, Veterans, Decatur and Starrs Mill round out the top half of the rankings.
In Class AAAA, Marist, Blessed Trinity, St. Pius and Spalding remain the top four teams with a new No. 5, Northside-Columbus, putting itself in the mix. Northside defeated then-No. 5 Columbus on March 13 (5-0) to debut this week at fifth while Columbus fell to No. 8.
Westminster has the top spot this week again in Class AAA and Lovett (No. 2) and GAC (No. 3) are still chasing. A new No. 4, Savannah Arts, improved by one spot this week as Lumpkin County fell to fifth.
St. Vincents has a new No. 2 to fend off as East Laurens moves up one spot following Lamar Countys slide to third. Model holds the No. 4 spot this week with a new No. 5, Vidalia, entering the fray. Screven County, formerly fifth, moved down to sixth.
Holy Innocents and Athens Academy have control of Class A with a new No. 3, First Presbyterian Day, positioning itself for the playoffs. Former No. 3, Mt. Pisgah, fell to fourth. Savannah Country Day rounds out the top five.
